Extra-curricular internship
The internship aims to promote the knowledge enrichment, the acquisition of professional skills or re-employment. It consists in work orientation and training in a working environment with the aim of creating a direct contact between an host and a trainee. The internship is not qualified as an employment relationship.
There are three different types of training:
• Training and orientation - duration min. 2 months - max 6 months
• Targeted to insertion / re-employment - max duration 12 months
• Orientation and training in favor of disabled people, disadvantaged people and asylum seekers or beneficiaries of international protection - min duration. 4 months - up to 12 months (in the case of disabled people duration min. 8 months - up to 24 months)
It 's possible that a part of the training is carried out in another European Union country.
The minimum age for access to a training course is 16 years old.
The benefits for young trainees is an amount of € 450 pre-tax paid by INPS directly. The host company, however, pays a fee of €150 and the costs for job insurance.
