Basilicata Region

Share

The beautiful Basilicata region, in south Italy, has a rich history. Dating back to the Preolithic era, this region has been influenced by the Greek, French, Spanish and Arabian invaders that marched through the land throughout the ages.
Basilicata has two fantastic coastlines: the Ionian Coast to the east, and the Tyrrhenian Coast to the west.

Beautiful beaches but also stunning mountains with three well preserved, breath-taking national parks. History, art and the naturally warm and welcoming Italian way of life and regional cuisine.
There are plenty of fabulous city breaks in Basilicata to enjoy. From Matera, Maratea, Potenza to Rionero Di Vulture, Montescaglioso and Aliano, all offer a unique and memorable experience.
